June 8, 2024 – The weather was absolutely perfect for riding—clear skies, warm temps, and just enough breeze to keep the asphalt from feeling too sticky. A group of friends and I geared up and met early that morning, engines rumbling with anticipation for a day that promised great scenery, local flavor, and even better company.
Our first destination: the Yellow Springs Street Fair. If you have never been, it is a lively celebration of arts, music, and all things unique. The ride into Yellow Springs was scenic and relaxed, rolling through the kind of Ohio countryside that makes you appreciate how lucky we are to ride free. As we pulled into town, the streets were already buzzing with vendors, musicians, and fairgoers. We parked the bikes and wandered through the fair—grabbing local bites, checking out handmade goods, and soaking in the vibrant, eclectic energy that Yellow Springs always brings.
After a couple of hours exploring, window shopping, and chatting with the locals, we hopped back on the bikes and pointed our handlebars north toward Indian Lake. The ride took us north on U.S. Route 68 to U.S. Route 33 through peaceful and rolling farmland. Riding in a tight group, staggered formation, with engines humming in harmony—it is a feeling hard to describe, but one every rider knows well. That bond, that unspoken understanding between friends, makes days like these unforgettable.
As we pulled up to Cranberry Resort Waterfront Bar & Grill, we were greeted with lakeside views and the laid-back atmosphere every rider craves after a good ride. We grabbed a table overlooking the water, kicked back with cold drinks, and shared a meal that hit the spot after a day in the saddle. Stories were told, future rides were planned, and the sound of laughter and clanking glasses mingled with the waves lapping at the shore.
Looking back, it was a perfect blend of adventure, community, and connection. The road brought us together, but the memories made it a day to remember.
Here is to more rides like this—good friends, open roads, and the kind of days that remind us why we ride.
